Canvas Orientation

Canvas is POE's learning management system, a virtual classroom setting.  It is used by teachers to deliver material, assign assessments and discussions, connect students with their curriculum platform, and communicate with students and families.  This platform will act as a homeroom or landing pad for students to interact with each other and their teachers.
 
Parents can become "Observers" of their students in Canvas in order to see course materials, feedback, and view a calendar of details.
 
The information below will help anyone navigate the system that students use.
Student information
Students can log into Canvas at lpsmt.instructure.com or click the link below to go to Canvas to access their POE Homeroom.
 
 
Parent Information
Canvas gives parents a view of the classroom so they can see the progress of their students at grade checkpoints, and communicate with teachers.  Check out this video on the Canvas Parent App and then use the guide below to get set up in the parent app.
