Afterschool Information
LINKS for Learning After-School Program will be held at East Side and students from Winans will be bussed over. LINKS is a low-cost program open to all students. Family events provide community interaction and educational opportunities. Student-to-staff ratios are kept low to meet individual needs. Cooking Club, Robotics Club, and Gardening Club are a few of the special programs we run. See the information below on how to enroll and our program expectations.
Afterschool Enrollment
Afterschool Fees (Cost Per Session)
$220.00/child for Monday-Friday programming
*Additional siblings receive a 50% discount
- Children who qualify for Free and Reduced Lunch are eligible for scholarships to attend Monday-Friday. You MUST apply by checking the box on the enrollment form.
- Fees are due at the beginning of each session.

Enrollment Information
Applications will be available to the public online on August 8th.
Priority will be given to:

- Current LINKS families whose children have regular attendance are current in payment and in compliance with LINKS policies.
- Children who have attended regularly in the past.
- Children who will be attending multiple sessions.
- Children who are referred by school staff.

Refund/Cancellation
A 30-day notice for all refunds minus a $40.00 processing fee is required.

LINKS for Learning Program Expectations
LINKS for Learning is excited to provide your child with a fun, enriching, and safe environment after school. Please review the expectations below so we can work together to support a positive experience for all students.
Location & Hours
Where: East Side School
When: Monday–Friday, after school to 5:30 PM (starting September 2)
Snack: A healthy snack is provided each afternoon

Parent/Guardian Expectations
- Ensure your child attends at least 3 days per week (required due to limited space).
- Always pick up your child by 5:30 PM. Late pick-ups will be charged $10 per child.
- Sign your child out in person each day.
- The building remains locked—please use the Ring system to enter.
- 3 unexcused absences may result in removal from the program.
- Notify LINKS staff by phone or email when your child will be absent. (406) 333-2552
- Keep your child home if they are sick. If illness occurs during program hours, pick-up is required as soon as possible.
Student Expectations
Children are expected to:
- Follow all school rules and staff directions.
- Show respect to staff, peers, and property.
- Use kind language
- never be involved in any fighting, stealing, or inappropriate behavior.
- Be toilet-trained and able to manage personal bathroom needs.
Behavior Management
If a student repeatedly disrupts programming or refuses redirection:

- Parents will be contacted, and an incident report will be completed.
After 3 incidents, the student may be removed from the program. - A single severe incident (e.g., fighting, vandalism, leaving the premises) may also result in immediate removal.
- Re-entry may be considered after one season away and with school/Director approval.
Field Trips
- Parents will be informed of all field trips in advance.
- Transportation is provided by bus or walking if nearby.
- Children must follow safety rules, remain in assigned seats, and show appropriate behavior to attend. Bus Expectations provided by the Transportation Department apply to every student and must be read and followed by all Links Students: Click Here
- A universal permission form will be signed at the beginning of the program through the registration form.
Health, Safety, & Emergencies
- School emergency procedures are followed.
- Parents will be contacted as soon as children are safe.
- In severe cases, 911 will be called, and emergency responders will assist.
- Parents are responsible for any medical costs.
Injuries & Illness
- Minor injuries will be reported at pick-up.
- For more serious injuries, parents or emergency contacts will be called.
- Sick children will be separated and must be picked up immediately.
- LINKS staff are certified in First Aid/CPR and are trained to respond appropriately.
Confidentiality & Reporting
LINKS staff are mandatory reporters. We follow all FERPA (student privacy) guidelines.
