History

The initial technology levies funding the current technology budget passed in 2003.  This was a perpetual fixed amount that has never increased in the last 22 years. Look below for how the levy has been used in the past compared to the changes of today:

Then: 2003

In 2003, Educational materials were delivered with low-tech needs Media content delivered by VHS or DVD on a 28 inch screen TVs strapped to carts and shared/checked out by teachers Projectors required transparency prints Most desktop computers resided in limited labs with few in classrooms Very few laptops were available for use and wireless was only available in a few select areas

Now: 2025

Now, educational materials require various technology needs Material delivered digitally and accessed via tablet, laptop, or desktop computer Interactive displays, high-definition TVs, or LED projectors used daily Tablets and laptops available to all students K-8 with expansion to 9-12 High-speed wireless network access available across almost the entire District campuses
