An increase in property taxes may lead to an increase in rental costs. The purpose of the levy is to support teacher and staff housing and other general fund needs for the Elementary District.

High School General Fund Levy
The resolution, if passed, imposes a general fund levy in the amount of $177,214 (one hundred seventy seven thousand two hundred and fourteen dollars ) per year for 5 years, which is approximately 2.6 mills.  The proposed new levy will result in taxes on a home with a market value of $100,000 by approximately $2.34, and on a home with a market value of $300,000 by approximately $7.02, and on a home with a market value of $600,000 by approximately $14.04. An increase in property taxes may lead to an increase in rental costs. The purpose of the levy is to support teacher and staff housing and other general fund needs for the Elementary District.

High School Building Reserve Levy
The resolution, if passed, imposes a building reserve levy in the amount of $200,000 (Two hundred thousand dollars) per year for 5 years, which is approximately 2.93 mills.  The proposed new levy will result in taxes of approximately $2.64 on a home with a market value of $100,000, and approximately $7.92 on a home with a market value of $300,000 and approximately $15.84 on a home with a market value of $600,000.  An increase in property taxes may lead to an increase in rental costs.  Potential projects for the High School District may include completion of perimeter sidewalk, track resurfacing/lining, roofing needs and other identified projects.

High School Technology Levy
The resolution, if passed, sets the High School District #1 Technology fund levy for an additional 2.7 mills per year for 10 years and being approximately $185,000 DOLLARS (one hundred eighty-five thousand) in fiscal year 2026 for the purpose of purchasing, renting, repairing and maintaining technological equipment, including computers and computer network access, cloud computing services for technology infrastructure, platform, software, network, storage, security, data, database, test environment curriculum, or desktop virtualization purposes, including any subscription or any license-based or pay-per-use service that is accessed over the internet or other remote network to meet the district’s information technology and other needs, and the associated technical training for school district personnel.
Passage of this proposal will increase the annual taxes on a home with a market value of $100,000 by approximately $2.44 on a home with a market value of $300,000 by approximately $7.33, and on a home with a market value of $600,000 by approximately $14.65.  An increase in property taxes may lead to an increase in rental costs. This request is in addition to $100,000 DOLLARS previously authorized as a perpetual levy and, if this proposition is approved, will hereby be limited to 10 years.
