Mr. Karl's Bio
Jason Karls is a seasoned educator with a love for learning. He is an advocate for students and appreciates using experiential learning to teach and finding creative ways to engage students. Hailing from Montana, he has a commitment to advocating for his community and holds gratitude for this great place to live. He is proud of his family with his wife Sarah who is a counselor, daughter Martha in kindergarten, and son Thane in 4th grade. With a twelve-year span as a school counselor, presently Jason is an elementary school counselor at East Side School in Livingston, MT, where he has spent the past five years nurturing and building a caring and supportive environment for young learners. Prior to this, he dedicated his efforts to support students at the high school level in Great Falls. He is excited at the prospect of contributing his expertise and enthusiasm to the MSCA school counseling board, and confident that they can continue to create a nurturing and supportive space to advocate for school counselors and all that school counselors contribute to our public schools.
