Greta, the dog, has been a part of the Winans family since she was a pup. Ms. Kerry Bauer, 2nd-grade teacher, started bringing Greta to Winans nine years ago as a registered therapy animal. Her sweet and patient nature has made quite the impact over the years and the entire school was able to celebrate her 10th birthday with ice cream and popsicles. Her adoring fans presented her with many cards and baggies of dog treats. It was a special day for Greta as she was serenaded all day by several renditions of "Happy Birthday". She is a true treasure for Winans students and staff.
