Chris Pavlovich named a finalist for the Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching

While most of Chris Pavlovich's students know of her incredible teaching methods in the classroom and dedication to their learning and lives, outside more people are taking notice.  As a finalist for the Montana Teacher of the Year Award and now also a finalist for the Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science in Teaching, Mrs. Pavlovich demonstrates an exemplary and decorated teacher.

Mrs. Pavlovich was presented with a plaque and a certificate in a school-wide assembly on Oct. 28th as students and colleagues cheered on in support of her achievement as a finalist for the state of Montana in the Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science in Teaching. Should she win this award, Presenters Elizabeth Matthews and Judy Boyle explained, Mrs. Pavlovich would travel to Washington D.C. where she will be honored with recipients from other states. She will be notified in the near future of her status in this award.

Her response to such an honor? Mrs. Pavlovich thanked her students and colleagues for their part in her success stating that they all contributed to the award.  She posed for pictures with her 5th-grade team and her students.
