Volunteers

Livingston School District Board Policy 5122 requires that all volunteers must submit to a name based and fingerprint criminal background check to help ensure the safety of the students.  The district encourages parents and community members to volunteer in the classroom and as chaperones for field trips and events. 

 

Fingerprints are taken by appointment only at the District Central Administration Office located at 132 South B Street.  The fingerprints are sent to Helena, Montana for processing through the Montana Department of Justice and the Federal Bureau of Investigations.  Processing takes approximately ten business days.  The results must be received by the District Office and approved by the Superintendent before volunteer participation.
